Write an essay between 190-260 words.
In recent years, some cities have decided to prohibit large-scale outdoor advertisements, such as billboards and electronic displays in public areas. This move has led to differing opinions regarding its benefits and drawbacks.

One advantage of this ban is that it can make the city look cleaner and more beautiful. Big advertisements often make streets look messy and crowded. Removing them can help improve the look of the city. For example, a city in Brazil banned all outdoor advertising. As a result, many residents said the city looked calmer and more natural. without so many bright and distracting signs. Additionally, digital screens create a lot of light at night, which can disturb people and animals.
On the other hand, outdoor advertising is useful for many businesses. It helps shops and companies, especially small ones, to let people know about their products or services. Without this, they might lose customers and make less money. For instance, a local cafe or clothing store may rely on nearby billboards to attract people walking or driving by. Without such exposure, their sales could drop. Moreover, cities earn money from advertising through taxes and fees, which they use for things like public transport or cleaning services.

In conclusion, banning large advertisements in public areas can make cities look better and reduce distractions. However, it can also hurt small businesses and reduce city income.
